Location Guide
Not sure where you want your session? Here are a couple of my favorite locations!
Lambert Park
Alpine, UT
Best features: open space, mountain background, trails
Lambert Park is in Alpine, UT in northern Utah county and is perfect for family pictures, couples, and bridals. It has lots of open space and trails, so you get the pretty natural aspect without having to worry about getting anything dirty. It’s easy to drive to and the best photo spots are right by the parking lot.
Provo City Library
Provo, UT
Best features: classic architecture, stylish front doors, staircase
The Provo City Library is a gem in the heart of downtown Provo. It was built in 1892 and the original architecture and design of the building have been preserved, making it a perfect spot for classy, timeless photos. The outside boasts large front doors with intricate designs and a beautiful staircase leading down into the courtyard. Inside has a quieter ambiance, with softer light and more modern elements.
Vineyard Beach
Vineyard, UT
Best features: year-round beaches, rope swing
Vineyard Beach is one of my personal favorites because it works so well for outdoor photos year-round. The soft sand on the shore of Utah Lake makes it great for kids, families, and anyone wanting a more laid-back vibe. It also has a rope swing that makes for great playful photos!
Provo City Center Temple
Provo, UT
Best features: wide doors, classic brick, beautiful gardens
The Provo City Center is a favorite for mission, baptism, and bridal photos. It is a staple of historic Provo and works well if you’re wanting a wide variety of photos, since the grounds are so big. It’s beautiful year-round, but the gardens are best spring through fall. It also has a large staircase in the front that works great for big groups.
Tibble Fork Reservoir
American Fork Canyon
Best features: beautiful open field, mountain background from all angles
Tibble Fork Reservoir is one of my favorites because it has something that works almost no matter what you’re looking for! It has the reservoir if you want water, freezes over in the winter for gorgeous icy photos, and is surrounded by a beautiful forest. It also has a large open field with some of the most stunning views of Mount Timpanogos.
Oquirrh Mountain Temple
South Jordan, UT
Best features: golden doors, beautiful gardens, mountain backdrop
The Oquirrh Mountain Temple is another favorite for mission and baptism photos. It sits high on a hill in the Salt Lake Valley, and the mountains are visible from all around. Its grounds host many native plants of Utah, including long desert grass, making for a gorgeous natural backdrop.
Rock Canyon
Provo, UT
Best features: mountain views, golden grass, trails
Rock Canyon is a great option for glowing golden hour photos. It sits on the east bench of the Wasatch mountains, giving it a view over Utah Lake and a perfect setting for sunsets and optimal golden light.
